我在前边的一篇文章里介绍了我的英语老师是如何讲解英语句型结构的. 对于学语言来说,在理解了基本的句型结构之后,更重要的是如何运用. 所以老师给我们布置的作业就是,用四种句型结构各造五个句子. 下面是经老师批改后我的作业,希望能帮助你进一步理解句型结构.

(注:红体字为主语,蓝体字为谓语 找出主谓是理解复杂句型的关键)

Simple Sentences

It is rainning now.

I like America.

I will go to lunch soon.

I like swimming.

I enjoy summer.

(I know you do not have any problem with those simple sentences. Here come some difficult sentences.)

compound Sentences (two independant sentences)

This semester I am learning English in Clarkton campus, and I am learning Accounting in Rockdale campus.

I like to go swimming in summer time; however, I do not like getting too much sunshine.

For I have to take care of my family, I do not work after school

It is rainning, but I will still go to school.

I am in School now; but I will be working soon.

Complex Sentences (One independent clause and one or more dependent clauses)

The house which I like so much is too expensive for us. (Main clause: The house is expensive)

I hope that I will finish my college in two years.

I like the lake we go boating in the summer at weekends.

The boy who is nine years old has good manners.

I like those flowers I planted in the front porch.

Compound and complex sentences

I am doing a research project which is about immigrants from China, and I am really enjoying it.

I really like a house which has a big yard; however, we should be able to afford it.

I like most of teachers, but I do not like my math teacher because he is so tough.

I do not like driving so much, but I have to drive so I can go to college.

When I go home, I will cook dinner, and my family will eat it.
